Kate Stedelbauer - (Set time: 8:00 PM)
Kate Stedelbauer
Kate Stedelbauer is a Virginia-based singer/songwriter. Her musical influences include Joni Mitchell, John Prine, Kacey Musgraves, Miranda Lambert and many other artists in the Americana, Country and Folk genres. Kate’s songs range from poignant ballads to bouncy, tongue-in-cheek slices of life. She writes musical stories that are lyrically rich, painting clear pictures of the highs and lows of life. Matched with memorable hooks, her songs evoke personalities and places that invite the listener to find a bit of themselves within.

Words and stories have always mattered to Kate. As a kid, she was a voracious reader, which cultivated her appreciation for great storytelling. Her own writing skills became evident at an early age in school assignments, poems and short stories. Her musical education began with several years of violin in school. Upon turning ten years old she received her first guitar, and with that, Kate’s love for words and music began melding together in songwriting as an outlet for her feelings and creativity.

At age 18, Kate decided to pursue a career in the music industry full-time. She began playing at local open mics, and eventually started booking herself at various live music venues. Now, she actively plays throughout southeast Virginia, and has recently begun playing in Nashville as well. Kate has released two projects, her debut EP Mississippi, recorded in Nashville and Virginia Beach (March 2017), and volume 1 of her acoustic project, The Acoustic Soul Recordings (August 2018), which are available on all digital streaming services.
Kevin Neidig - (Set time: 9:00 PM)
Kevin Neidig
Kevin Neidig has been described as a singer-songwriter and maestro of guitar, banjo, mandolin (“I love anything with strings”), influenced by Darrell Scott, Tim O’Brien, Sam Bush, Bela Fleck and Tony Rice. Rarely do you get in one musician the virtuosity of singer, instrumentalist and songwriter. Kevin brings all three with eloquent effortlessness. His performance credits include opening for Doc Watson, Peter Rowan, and Tom Paxton, and playing at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.

Kevin was nominated “Emerging Artist of the Year” by the Americana Music Association” for 2018. He has won first-place awards in Male Vocal, Old-Time Banjo, and Guitar at the Deer Creek Fiddler's Convention. He also owns and operates a studio established over 20 years ago in Mechanicsburg, PA where he teaches guitar, voice, clawhammer banjo, ukulele, bass and mandolin. He has released six solo albums, including his new CD, “The Long Road” recently released on June 29, 2018.
